Writer - Director
A Guyanese American, raised in Arkansas, who came out to his parents and moved to
San Francisco to make experimental art film. There he joined the circus, fell in love with a handsome older man, and ran away to Los Angeles where he received his MFA in Film Production/Directing from UCLA School of Theatre Film And Television. After assisting Hollywood hot shots, scraping by on a few writing assignments, and directing a dozen decent short films, one of which you can find on Short of the Week, he moved back to Arkansas to helm a docu-series about mineral collectors, which became a National Public Television Series. After two seasons of traveling around the world, he packed up his stones and moved to Silicon Valley where he served as a contracted Producer on site at Google with the Global Learning and Design team.
He has made content for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as well as directed narrative shorts under the tutelage of Academy Award winning filmmaker Bobby Moresco. He recently finished a film inspired by one of his earlier instructors at the San Francisco Art Institute, the late, great, George Kuchar starring the fabulous Linda Martinez.
He has twice won the Stonewall Society Pride in the Arts Award, is a Film Independent Project Involve Fellow, Kopkind Colony Fellow, Smithsonian History in Film Emerging Filmmaker, Crosstown Arts Filmmaker in Residence, and is a Board Member on the Arkansas Cinema Society.
Men in Bed is his first narrative-documentary hybrid feature film.
